Approach
I have been registered as a Psychologist since 2010. I offer a caring, friendly and creative way of helping clients. I use an individualised strengths based approach to therapy, involving awareness of behaviour, thoughts, and feelings, while promoting self-compassion and self-awareness. I use evidence based psychological treatments for best outcomes, and with client collaboration. I have mental health training in suicide intervention skills, and health training in cultural awareness. I have Italian heritage and I understand some colloquial Italian language. I have an interest in creative therapies including art and music.
I have many years of experience working within youth mental health at headspace and a youth health service. My experience includes both individual therapy and group therapy, having worked with young people at risk, and facilitating group therapy within a private hospital specialising in adult mental health. I also have previous experience within occupational recruitment as well as in conducting clinical psychological research in early parenting and family support.
I offer Psychology talking therapy while using approaches to empower people to understand their own wellbeing.
