  • Drawn from her experience working with individuals and groups of various ages, cultural and social backgrounds, Charlotte's practice is underpinned by a holistic 'good lives' model. This approach acknowledges the existence of 'blockades' in our lives that may prevent us from achieving our goals and potentials from time to time. Through counselling in a non-judgemental, confidential & ethical, sensitive and respectful environment, Charlotte seeks to assist and support her clients by building upon their 'strengths' and identifying their anguish. She also facilitates in the process of developing individually-tailored treatment plans that will equip her clients with skills and knowledge to achieve & maintain their optimal wellbeing and improve their and others' quality of life.
  •  Through travelling and working in various parts of Australia, Charlotte has attained a considerable amount of experience in working closely with those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (e.g. people with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island descent, migrants from various parts of the world etc.). Charlotte conducts her works in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner, which promotes a positive and professional working relationship with her clients. In addition, Charlotte is also fluent in English and Cantonese.
  •  Committed to on-going professional development, Charlotte continues to further her skills through attending conferences and undertaking additional studies. Charlotte is also an academic member of Charles Sturt University and was a presenter at Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law 24th Annual Congress in 2004.
  • Apart from providing counselling, Charlotte is also competent in administering, and interpreting various psychometric instruments. She has experience in conducting clinical interviews, preparing assessment reports and providing professional supervision to those who are psychologists, probationary psychologists and social workers.
